一篇是使用kensington export & slim三年的心得分享。
我分享一下我的入手心得。供大家參考。
1. 4個大按鍵(4 big buttons)
原本擔心會不好按，但對手小的我來說，多慮了。很好用。(Small hands don't fit? don't worry! it's very comfortable)
其實4個按鍵可以用軟體擴充更多功能。但原廠只有6種自定。(6 custom functions. could be more~)
2. Scroll ring很卡。(Scroll ring isn't smooth! Turn the ring just like scratch something. And the scroll step sometimes missed. But it is getting better when you use it more.)
雖然做得很大，但原廠不用心設計轉輪。(拆開發現，是鐵環磨塑膠，而且滑動面是不平滑的)
一拿到手我就拆開來想增加scroll ring的順暢度。但無法...
試了點油和矽油。都因無法碰到滑動面而效果不大。
會讓我想買新版的slim

3. 很容易卡髒東西在3個支撐滾球的紅色小點上。(Very much dirt on the 3 red supportors after just 2 working day for about 16hr. But doesn't affect the mouse movement, it's still pretty smooth.)
但其實不影響球的順暢度，反而是太乾淨會太滑。
4. 體積大，不易攜帶。(還好很輕) (It's too big to carry it when you want to use it both at office and at home. Or ask your boss buy you one. And be careful the ball will drop out easily)
公司和家用的考量...我是買一隻帶來帶去。但那顆球是可以拿起來的。我以為是卡緊在裡面的。為了怕球受傷。還要另外拿小袋子裝。
5. 用軌跡球真的讓手腕舒服很多(Trackball makes my wrist comfortable...after all day working)
使用上，但原本用滑鼠按鍵拖曳的動作，用滾球會比較卡。
其他動作都還好。
PS. 它底下的4個橡膠腳墊一買來就不平。搞不懂是外壳就做得彎彎的還是腳墊不一樣高。
The 4 rubber cushsion at the bottom is the flat. I have to put a paper on one of those cushions to make them all flat.
